where tradition meets professionalism. We carry the weight of the rituals with you so your family can focus on love, remembrance, and unity.
Honoring Tradition, Built for Today
In traditional Hmong life, both funerals and weddings are rich in ceremony and require many knowledgeable helpers. For funerals, the journey can span several days and involves key roles such as the txiv qeej (reed-pipe player), txiv nruas (drummer), kav xwm & tshwj kab (ceremonial guides), and respected elders who ensure the spirit’s path to the ancestors is properly led. Families also host and feed guests, with the kitchen team—traditionally niam ua mov—working tirelessly to care for everyone.
Weddings, while joyous, also follow a structured practice. Elders known as mejkoob / mejzeeg guide negotiations and blessings between families, preserving respect and harmony for the couple’s new beginning.
In modern life, families are often far from a strong local Hmong community, and it can be difficult—or stressful—to locate experienced helpers quickly. That’s where we come in.
